چکیده

the problem, a relocation protocol by an object reloMobile Cache Protocol (MCP) was proposed as a relocation protocol of a replicated object i n a widely distributed object system. MCP has four basic features; relocating a replicated object, 2 optimistic update methods, object reservation and object sharing. To calculate relocation funct ion, M C P uses processing t ime of the object at a candidate sate and predicted network delay between the client and the candidate. Thus, a client observes network status to eliminate the ambiguity. B u t the observation of the entire network may cause overhand and undesirable traffic. This paper proposes some solutions for the problem, i.e., collecting processing t ime information of partial network and probing delay by preceding ping. Though designed for a distributed object based system, MCP also can be applied to dynamic web caching. Evaluation using DEC web trace shows the effectiveness of these strategies.

A Publish/Subscribe Data Gathering Framework Integrating Wireless Sensor Networks and Mobile Phones

In this report, we propose a data gathering framework integrating wireless sensors with mobile phones based on the observation that individual mobile devices can serve as supplement to the static deployed wireless sensor networks. The framework employs an intermediate broker network built upon DHT overlay in its basic infrastructure to dispatch data by means of publish/subscribe paradigm. A loc...

Models, solution, methods and their applicability of dynamic location problems (DLPs) (a gap analysis for further research)

Determining the best location to be profitable for the facility’s lifetime is the important decision of public and private firms, so this is why discussion about dynamic location problems (DLPs) is a critical significance. This paper presented a comprehensive review from 1968 up to most recent on published researches about DLPs and classified them into two parts. First, mathematical models deve...
